Does anyone love washing their car?
I like your thinking...I use to work out, and stay in shape. I had an injury a few years back and couldn't do anything for 2 yrs..... I got fat....and it took its toll.....trying to come back just might not be in the card at this age....but we keep trying... My blk roadster is kept spotless, and so it the the coupe in AB...

SOOO i have water spots and i tried vinegar and no luck!! then i tried using polishing compound on a micro fiber cloth and still no luck!! the thing is the water spots are really not that bad you can only see them at the right angle if you look close. Does anyone have any suggestions?
A very fine rubbing compound (3M 5973) will get the H2O spots off. Put a small dab on a damp 100% cotton rag (an old t-shirt works well) and rub w/medium force. It should come right off. Then cover w/whatever you regularly use to wax the car.
Here you go.. started out thinking just do the laps for charity.. mentioned the "scenic route" to the wife and she's on board. So looks like a weeks vacation and full R&R time..

Just washed the black XF, and the Wifes pearl white B9 Tribeca with Meguiar's Ultimate wash and wax. I have to say it did a great job on the B9, but not so on the XF. I used a car wash brush on the B9, and a new microfiber mitt on the XF. I see swirl marks on the black paint in some areas. It looks good, but not great. Also, turtle wax wheel cleaner is awesome.

You need to use a swirl remover, on black swirls are tough to get rid of, ask me how I know.

Get an orbital buffer and get to it.

Staring at a Crossfire means you have too much time on your hands.

I don't get sick because of the magnesium... I never missed a day of school, or work.....It is in my well water.... 38.8 mg per liter. Blind luck...... gary..
i love washing at a car wash sometimes when its busy because people walk by the bay and look at me like i have three heads or stand there and look puzzled as to what kind of car i have...over the weekend two older guys came over and had to put their glasses on and bend over to see my tiny hood emblem to even guess what the make it was
they responded "is thing one of them cars where the wing goes up"...
