I got to my car to go to lunch and found it had been hit. The driver tail light and the body were both dinged. It might be a while before I can smoke my tail lights.

Hey that sux. If you have to replace the tail light, perform some experiments on the broken one and see if you can tint it to look nice. It might be a good opportunity to try the spray. that is, if you have to get an entire new tail light anyway.

 

If you were in a strip mall or equivalent, sometimes they have surveillance of the parking lots. Individual stores or the property management company for the parking lot & businesses might have such a thing. Might be worth looking into. Maybe just for principle.

Not to be cheap but I think i can buff the tail light to were the minor scratch will not be noticed. I hate the fact that I will now pay for someone else's crap. GoodEnough that some good advice but the damage is just not quite worth the time. I'm still on the hunt for tinted vinyl I have found some sources but not the right shade.

I know how you feel. I got clipped by an illegal alien while stopped at a stop light front passenger side bumper. Had to chase her down as she didn't stop. $1500 in damage according to the estimator Thank God my brother in-law is an awesome body mechanic. He fixed it for me over the weekend it looks awesome again. Only cost me $1000 saved $500 now I'm going to buy some goodies for my baby. If any of you live in Mass, NH or ME and need a great autobody mechanic email me and I'll give you his info.

P.S. Monday after I got it back and washed it I took it out for a spin up to the beach. I missed my baby all weekend. Got a nice $250 speeding ticket from the State Police on 495 90 in a 65.

I got hit from behind by a neighbor less than 200 yards from my house. Idiot. Just got the car out of the shop. No real damage, just scraped some paint off the bumper and chipped the drivers side tail light. I was going to fix the tail light myself, but couldn't find any aftermarket suppliers for it. I'd have had to order it from Chrysler. It was just as expensive to let the body shop do it.

 

Just got back from East Tennessee where I hit a huge raccoon last Friday night. Busted my plastic bumper and knocked the lower grill out. My little yellow roadster had less than 2000 miles on it. Glad it wasn't a deer.
