Default Haze on headlamp housing

I'm assuming the genius at the dealership that detailed my car before it was delivered used an ammonia based glass cleaner on the headlight housing. No matter what I do there is a slight left after washing. Did the idiot who cleaned it permanently damage my housings? What product does everyone use on their headlamps? It is driving me nuts, everytime I look at my car I focus on the headlights. I need help!

Does that take the haze off for good? Did you have the foggy plastic?

I would have the dealer replace it under warranty.

Ditto, but you could try the Plasti-X first, its pretty good stuff and smells like laundry soap. One thing I do is when I wax my car, I wax the headlights and taillights too, something to think about.

I agree with the group, try the Meguiars Plastix Cleaner, the stuff works great. If that doesn't work take the car back to the dealer, so that the they can restore or replace them. And then invest in a good "Headlight Film Protection" product, such as 3M or Groits.

Where can the 3M film protection be bought and is it precut? I've read about the Clear Bra kits etc but I don't want to go that route. Thanks.

Try CCF member Jeff Horton he has the materials and can make all clear protection kits. He discounts to CCF members.

Yes the film is laser cut and the kit comes with protection film for the head lamps and fog lamps. There are many companies out there that carry the products mentioned. Here is where I purchased mine from.

As I said before, you should email Jeff Horton a CCF member!

I'll look into it today. I've read about entire kits here on this forum but didn't want that. The headlight film is what I'm interested in. Thanks for the tip.
