Default Performance

I am new to the performance game. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to upgrade engine performance (horsepower gains)? I have a 2005 Roadster Limited and I run into roadblocks at every parts store. They all say they have nothing for this vehicle. Yet, I see various posts of people saying they installed this performance chip or that supercharger. Where can these items be located?! I would appreciate any information that would increase the stock 215 hp.
