Default Cam Belt/Chain

Can anyone tell me when the cam belt/chain needs replacing on the 3.2 Crossfire engine?

Thanks.

I don't know whether it's a belt or chain.
If it's a chain, probably never - unless it breaks!!!
On cars I've had in the past with chains, they never had a scheduled change.

I would say at around 100k miles, you might want to replace the chain unless you drive like HDDP then I would swap it out at 50k.

its a chain ... you'll hear the chain guides hammering like all hell when its time ... these motors have gone over 300k with no need to change them however ... rubber coated gears make it nice a quiet ... its all in the service manual ...

You need to spend more time driving your car, instead of reading the destruction manual!!!

Thanks for the feedback...looks like it's a hardened steel chain which should be good for 100k+.
