Change Spark Plugs
Hello,
Knowing Chrysler bills a lot of money to work on the crossfire, I decided to change all the parts I could on my own...
I just bought 12 NGK Spark plugs because it's time to change them on the crossfire, but the seem so tricky to get to ! I just can't reach them, except one (the easiest, the first one on the right...)
I tried taking the engine cover off, but it doesn't help at all.
Does anyone have a solution ?
Thx.

It's definitely a pain in the Azz, especially the driver side... Patience and an articulating socket adapter will help speed the process. Also might consider employing a 8 year old child to get their small hands in there...
The crossfire now has 69,000 kms / 43,000 miles.
So I guess I'm going to leave them on the car for the moment, it means I can still do about 100,000 kms !
But why did my dealer wanted to change the spark plugs if they can "live" 160,000 kms and the car only had 60,000 at that time ?

dealers are about making money ... they will offer anything they think you will buy ... this is coming from a person that has three close friends that are ASE certified techs at audi, chrysler, and vw and is a gear head himself. i hear it from them all the time how they have to push product and service to make a decent living. not to mention many cars call for spark plug changes much sooner than this if they use copper plugs.
Dang guyz, look at the searchand see the arti cle that I did on the plugs. Use a hose, and only change 6.
Drive the car and confirm its ok then do the other 6 cause with dual plugs if you have a problem YOU GOT A PROBLEM finding it.
See under my posts please.Woody
