Magniflow Cat-back ready to ship !
For the price, I'm probably going to pick me up the exhaust in the next few weeks. Thanks for the thread/review.
I think there's some magnaflow clips running around on YouTube.

although there are many crossfire exhaust videos on youtube, only two are magnaflow exhausts and one doesn't have sound. the one with sound
(silver crossfire - shows the exhaust, then the inside, then going down the road) is only a muffler. the soundless one, i believe, is a muffler as well.

xdrive.com is another option...
Well I bit the bullet after reading about the new Magnaflow Cat Back and ordered one for my 2004 XFire Coupe. It arrived last Friday and I had it installed at a local muffler shop for $35 the following day. The mechanics were raving about how it sounded before I even got to test drive it for myself !
The second I started her up I could hear and feel the difference ! The car now sounds as good as it looks; somehow it is hard to explain the sound, but it is a perfect match. Aggressive, yet mellow at the same time until you open it up then it just plain growls at you ! The sound is not overbearing in the passenger compartment and I definitely noticed better throttle response and what seems to be an increase in power.
Highly recommended !

It's like 2,300 pages !
But it's very good and full of info w/good diagrams and exploded views.
There is a isolation link on the shift rod that causes the springy/spongy feeling. It this could be made of a maybe urethane or even replaced altogether the shift fell would improve greatly.
If anybody concocts a shifter upgrade I'd buy one in an instant !
Me and about 20,000 other Crossfire manual transmission drivers...
I bet there's a few M-B SLK owners who would like a better shifter to !

Please send me a pic of the diagram of this rubber isolator. I have the resources to build them out of urethane and thought if its easy to get to it might be worth a try. I don't want to waste my time if its impossible to replace, so the diagram will help me locate it.
Eunospeed
I did not have access to a lift or pit so I called my local Midas Muffler shop and they agreed to install it at their hourly rate, $37 / hour. It took them less than an hour to slap it on.
I wish I had some ay to post a sound clip or video; but I don't. I'll try using my trusty cell phone to capture a 15 second clip or two. I know that everyone is waiting to hear it, so was I before I just went ahead and made a leap of faith. I am very happy with the new exhaust !

Hey Slim, this exhaust on a 350z looks like it has similar style Magnaflow mufflers - does it sound similar to the Magnaflow for the XF?
