Exclamation Magniflow Cat-back ready to ship !

Greetings,

Just got off the phone with Valerie at Magniflow and she said the Magniflow Crossfire cat-back system part number 16633 is in production, in stock and ready to ship ! Magniflow does not ship directly to consumers so it has to be ordered by a dealer. Jegs and Summit does not list it yet. I'm making some calls today to see who can actually get one of these systems to Cincinnati.
List price is $ 695. so a discount price should be 10-20% off that.

Cheers,

Cincinnati Slim

To each his own...

I'd rather have a stainless exhaust than a plastic pistol myself !

The Magnaflow folks said a product image and installation instructions should be up in a few days. I was told that their cat-back is more aggressive sounding than the Borla system. Call 1-800-824-8664 and bud 'em for details. That way they'll know there are Crossfire owners out there who want their products.

Cheers,

Slim

Why a cheap pistol? Use it as a down payment on Kimber.

Default Comfirmed... Magnaflow Cat-back ready to ship !

I just checked the Magnaflow website.

Shows 44 systems in stock and ready to ship.

www.justmagnaflow.com might be a good source.

There is no image, sound clip or installation sheet up yet.

I'm not sure if I'll try and fab up my own system or just order the Magniflow.

Slim

p.s. I already have a Kimber, nothing better for the money !

Default I'm going for it ! Ordered the Magnaflow system #16633

I'm taking the plunge !

Just ordered the Magnaflow system from www.justmagnaflow.com

Price is $531.36 including shipping to Cincinnati. Another exhaust website has a really nice picture and description ...

This looks really cool !

I could not duplicate this set-up on my own in stainless for less money so what the heck, I'm going for it !

It should be here in five days. I'll have it on by this time next week and let y'all know what it sounds like !

The shape of those mufflers reminds me of those huge coffee cans on the back of hondas. I would hate for it to sound like that.

not much chance for that ... that sound comes from a 1.75 inch pipe dumping into a 3 inch muffler that has little to no sound packing ... result ? megaphone for the put put put of a 1.6 engine that can't provide the gas to fill up that muffler so it just resonates like all hell in there...

here we have high quality sound packing with a 2.5 inch pipe from the engine splitting into two 2.25 pipes that enter mufflers that are also 2.25 in size ... proper stepping + good sound packing = should be nice ... but not as quiet as the borla was with its two canisters.

I don't know why a distributor has an image before Magnaflow's own website but, hey, there it is ! I'll post some pictures on my member's gallery and see if my audio engineer buddy can record some high-quality sound clips. I'm going to try and get it done sometime in the next couple of weeks.

I wonder if it will make any more power than the stock setup? The design layout looks nice. +1 for Magnaflow, lets hear the sound clip.

looks like very nice oval tips from the description ! 3.5 x 5.5 ... should fill in the space very nicely and not show the canisters behind them ... i think this may be the one ...

Personally, I think the Glock is more aggressive sounding... Kind of like my Harley on Nitrous!

Already have two Glock 19s... I'll keep them for now as I like the reliability and weight. Don't get me wrong... the Kimber is an excellent firearm and I do wish to add one to my collection eventually.

Need to get a H&K .40 for my wife... she hates the double stack mag on the Glocks.

Back on topic...

As to the exhaust, I happen to really like the stock SRT6 setup which is WAY more expensive (OEM) than the Base or Limited exhaust system.

If I get to the point where I have this as a track car only like HDDP, then I might consider it. But right now, for daily driving, I like the quiet when I don't have my foot in it, the soft rumble when I am accelerating softly and the "VROOOM!" when I get on it.

Glocks are good. I'm partial to Sigs myself.

Glad that Magnaflow came through with something for the Xfire. Maybe more companies will jump in - Jet performance, Hypertech - are you out there?
