Default Kleemann Kompressor System???

I am currently looking into purchasing a Kleeman Kompressor System for my Crossfire. Has anyone on here purchased this setup or heard anything good / bad / indifferent on this system? Before dropping $11,000 for the Supercharger and another $2,700 on installation I want to be certain that it is worth every penny spent. Thanks!

why not just sell and buy an SRT? not only will be it cheaper, but you will also receive other upgrades in the car no? Or are you a stick driver that Must have the stick? If your not than that option is a pretty convenient one!!

From what I've been told, by slk320 owners, it's worth it if you can afford it! The car will have the power of the SRT6 with a 6spd. Too much fun to be legal. After that get the posi-unit upgrade to lay the power to the ground evenly, especially for going around corners safely.

edit: being that you can now get a low mileage Crossfire Base model for $16,000, and the Kleenman kit is another $10,000, your gonna be pretty hard up to find an SRT6 nowadays for $26,000. They are getting harder to find and the dealers are getting wise to what this car really is, and have been pushing the price upwards on SRT back up to $30-$34,000 lately. Not to mention the suspension is known to be a bit harsh on rough roads. but you are getting $2000 worth of brakes and stiffer sway bars.

yeah they are out there but what does that car look like? how's the paint, usually for $25k it's been sandblasted, put through nasty car washes, needs $1,000 in tires, rims scratched, any interior wear? you do get what you pay for, so for $25k you better take a close look with a magnifying glass, because you might be better off paying $30-35k for a cleaner ride.

It could also be influenced by location, are you buying in a big city or a small town, thats what really controls the price.

Sound like some killer deals, but just remember if it's too good to be true...just be suspicious about those ebay dealers and don't purchase the car until you've seen it in person.

i did my research on them as i was looking at their low boost kit for 6.5k (this is not going to be made due to low demand from what they told me) and their engineering is very solid and they stand behind their product with a real warranty.

Well sure man... you always have to know what you are buying but I have purchased vehicles on ebay... in the past some being very expensive, but never have I chose not to inspect... Less than a month ago I found a Motorcycle on ebay... went and looked at as it was only a 2 hour drive from my location and purchased it... I know a lot of people think that there is something wrong with ebay and purchasing expensive things from it, but there really isn't... I could not purchase a vehicle without looking at it first and this can be done through ebay...

I have gone as far as detroit from new york to simply inspect a vehicle... Some of the deals On the crossfire are too good to be true and their are problems, but most are just as stated...

I thank everyone for their input. To answer the first question as to why don't I purchase an SRT, and hopefully not make any one mad, I personally don't like the styling of the SRT. When I purchased mine there was an SRT sitting beside it and the whole SRT wing, in my opinion, takes away from the fine-line styling of the car. But I will give the SRT credit for the front bumper, to which I like. In addition, the other down side is the Automatic. I am simply a die-hard fan of Manual transmissions. Every car I own, with the exception of the Lexus LS430 is a manual. Maybe I am a control freak, but I love being able to harness the RPMs' in my hand. Again, not to make any one mad or discredit their likings, I feel as though a two-seater "sports car", (if you will), should not have an automatic transmission mounted to it. It's like owning a soft-top Jeep Wrangler and purchasing the A/C option. I know that I have apologized twice already, but hopefully I did not make any SRT owner's mad at my comments, I was simply stating my liking and my opinion. Thanks again!

They do get snagged up, but after a year the original owners usually get tired of the harsh ride from the suspension, I've seen this happen many times. The Limited is best suited to daily driver duty, and it doesn't get effected by heat soak in the intercooler during hot weather. But I still want the SRT6 just to tuck away for weekend duty.

I wouldn't hesitate to get a kleeman system. Just make sure the place doing it is Kleeman certified. The actual kleeman co. in Colorado Springs will dyno your car before and after (at least they do with MBs). There are tons of MBs that go with kleeman and even ship their cars out to CO springs directly so Corey can work on it. I don't know what kind of power it will give the Crossfire but I know of some E55s putting out over 550 hp with their K cars. Hope this helps. I'm a mercedes die hard and I am hoping to get a E55 in a year. I bought my wife the crossfire in hopes that it will justify my car.
