Default InMotion ECU upgrade in Phoenix

About the end of next week, I will have the tool from InMotion to flash the ecu to upgrade my Xfire. Anyone else in Phoenix who wants to do it, all you have to do is buy directly from their website http://www.inmotionusa.com/ and then come see me when I have the tool...we send your car's file off to them, then they send it back and we write it to your car. Otherwise you either have to send the ECU to them, or pay a $2,000 refundable deposit to have them loan you the tool.

Anyone who is interested, email me and we'll see what we can set up. I live by 51st Ave and the 101. have no connection with InMotion, other than as a customer, just thought some of you might want to take advantage as long as I have the tool here for a few days...

it's the OBDII tool needed to copy off your ecu's file and then flash on the new (modified) program...

do you need a code to reflash another car? Or will it continuously reflash cars all day long?

get a dyno first, to make sure it's really working.

Since ecu's are "matched" to VIN's, we have to read the current ecu, then update the file, then write it back...can't just update a bunch of cars with one file.

Hey guys, I'm just a customer, and offering the use of the 'tool" since I will have it here, talk in InMotion for the details, I don't want to mis-quote...

Just curious if you've noticed a difference yet.

Which XF do you have?

Yes, big difference...engage traction control in 2nd and 3rd where it never used to, added 10mph to my freeway entrance speed on usual on-ramp, smoother throughout the rev range, all in all, a great upgrade.

Check out this ebay listing. It's from InMotion and does include either model. If you go to their site you will notice that your saving about $80 bucks if no one bids. It's $350 on the site, and $500 for custom tunes with pulleys and intakes. If they can put a cheaper price on ebay, why can't they do this for us on the forum? There has been positive feedback here for their tuning.

I think Needswings will have more pull then me. With 13 packages sold so far, it would be InMotion's best interest to hook up with him for clients. I'll PM him, maybe he already has something in the works.

I bought one off ebay from them. They just put another bid on ebay after I paid. I would bet that something could be worked out with them.

Here's the neat thing ... I called them after I bought it and told them I decided to do the pulleys and CAI. They said no problem. I could continue with the $300 job or I could do the maximum reflashing and they would apply the original $300 towards the max reflash, which is $500. With all the changes I am doing, they recommended the max. I am going with the max after I get the pulleys in.

FYI, they claim 23HP gain for the limited and 35 for the SRT-6

Yes, we need a lot of help! Some of us would appreciate a good tech person inside Bosch willing to offer tuned maps and unlock and re code the vin# for the srt6 ecu so that I can use it in my Limited crossfire for a turbo project.

can you help us out?
