What a bargin!!!
Today I had a custom exhaust installed on my '04 coupe. We started at the back of the secondary cats by eliminating the reverse "Y" pipe and sending two 2" pipes, side by side, to a new Flowmax muffler. The Flomax replaced the OEM muffler, but has 2 inlets as well as 2 exits, so the system represents a true dual exhaust. . I used the OEM tips so it looks like stock.
The sound: like an older Jag XKE. The price: $169 total.

Sorry Guys, but I was so intrigued by the pipe bending process I never gave pictures a thought. I'll have to go back to the muffler shop and have the car put back up on the rack for some pictures.
My real purpose in writing was to demonstrate that the high dollar cat back kits are not necessarily required to produce a true dual exhaust system.
At the same time, I'll be interested in any improvements in power and/or mileage.
I'll try for the pictures in a day or two. To whom do I email them???
