Cool Mopar Exhaust

Has anybody seen or heard a Mopar Cat-Back Exhaust, Is it ok or crap. I can get one fairly cheap and have not found information on how good it is. Any thoughts. Thanks.

I can only assume that you mean the Borla system. Definitely not crap...but I have a hard time justifying the expense. Many have it and if you can get it for cheap, then go for it.

NO, he means the MOPAR Performance system you can buy from your dealer at the parts window.

OR are you saying that they are two and the same?

???

I can get if from my dealer in Canada for $750, I imagine its cheaper in the states.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. The only performance exhaust they offered for the first few years was the Borla exhaust (and it was sold by the dealer). I can't imagine that they have developed something performance-wise for this car on their own... Magnaflow came out with their system earlier this year.

So...I don't know.

It's the same exact thing, only the Mopar one has a big Mopar stamped into the muffler instead of Borla (check out the pics below). It's factory backed so it might have some kind of advantage warranty-wise over the Borla.

Mopar:

Cool Re: Mopar Exhaust

The" MOPAR" exhaust is made by Borla from what my Service & Parts Manager have told me.

I posted this in the other thread about the exhaust but worht a mention here. I worked for a car shop years ago and have confirmed from borla that they manufacture the mopar performance exhausts. Atleast they were doing the 300 family of cars, trucks, and vipers. I'm sure they do all of them now.

Well, this exhaust has been sitting at my Place of employment, (dealership) for over a year, someone ordered it and never came in to install, they never sent it back, Lets put it this way the price they told me, well it is going to be installed this weekend by our Crossfire tech. and you are right, will be covered under my extended warranty. I will let you know how it works out and sounds, he is looking how to keep my square exhaust tips also, neither of us liked the round. Thanks for all your help. its funny I get more information here then from my Place of Employment.

Get the Ansa muffler, it sounds smooth and powerful. Also remove the resonator.

Thumbs up Re: Mopar Exhaust

I got rear ended (lightly) enough to bend the stock exhaust about 3 years ago. Was able to get the insurance co.to replace the exhaust with the Mopar (Borla) catback system (same price a replacing orig. system). I have been very happy with it. Little loud in the low RPM's but smooths out nicely above 3k. I don't think I would like it any louder that it is now. If you have a head ache its no fun to drive. Overall, much nicer than original system, no more sneeking up on people.
