to clarify .. i have both as we have two xFs ... the stock looks like a better deal for a daily driver that will see rain.
I was far from gentle with where i sprayed, granted I didn't shove the wand into the grill to blast the filter directly, but my car got a very THOROUGH spray-down that day.
ok, were at 30, it will take a few hours to go thru and do the $20 refund to everyone, its late now so ill be doing that tomorrow

Thanks Rob!! What a great group buy.
Just to drive everyone nuts with anticipation.......I thought you might enjoy these video's.
All runs performed in 4th gear, bone stock cars except for the CAI's.
This video is of The Crossfire dyno run that NeedsWings posted the dyno sheet for, with the CAI installed.......turn up the volume and wake up the neighbors!

This link is of a clk that has a needswings CAI installed that was run right after my car..........once again, turn up the volume, that bad Mercedes V-8 sounds mean!

I've seen your gallery pictures, and reviewed your list of mods.
Believe me.......it doesn't appear that you're exactly on skid row!

This may not be the right place for this - but....My family gave me the NeedsWings intake for my birthday and I put it on last weekend. Overall - great quality product - easy installation - great instructions. I have not dyno’d the car so I can’t provide any definitive improvements; HOWEVER, it does seem noticeably more powerful and the throttle is clearly and definitely more responsive.
Needswings, can I still get in on the group buy? Going to test it out on a dyno here in CT to see what I get. Do the Automatics have the same cutoff problem on dynos that the 6 speeds have?
I was looking at the dyno sheet, is that 200hp to the wheels at 5000 rpm? Thats a 15hp increase, why are people saying its 8hp? I don't understand.
Also, on that dyno sheet it looks like the power band is much flatter and much higher with the cai. How is this possible? It up like 40 hp at the lower rpm. Or am i reading that wrong.

yes we can still get you in, it was 201 ft/lbs of torque not hp. the dyno sheet shows both hp and tq, they 2 runs are defined by the colors of the graph, torque is the one that plateau's quickly, hp is the line that gradually raises thru the rpm band. so we look at teh different between the 2 tq curves and the 2 hp curves.
