Default Reverse, Why so much trouble???

Ok so I bought my Xfire... so im cool right??? NOPE!

When I go to put the stick shift in reverse its not catching and I get the evil grinding sound. The only way it seems to work is if I hold the shifter in reverse, engage the cluch and only then it will stay in gear.

I know you gotta lift the shifter up then put it in gear but it doesnt seem to work... Am I doing it wrong or do I need to see my local dealer?

Think it would be under warrenty?

If you're having trouble getting it into reverse, I do believe there is a TSB on the problem, and it should be fixed under warranty.
Good Luck

Yeah I talked to my buddy who works for Chrysler and he said it's a common problem. He said that they need to tighten the reverse cable and align the shifter.

It is covered!
