Default Ecu Mod

Below is a email response from MKB about upgrading the ECU.
Does this sound like it is worth it compared to other upgrades? This is
for a N/A model.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Hello Paul,

I have just received your information request from MKB performance for your Crossfire. MKB is now in North America and we can help you with your performance needs. MKB does offer an ECU upgrade that will increase horsepower to 237. The upgrade cost for your Crossfire is $1527. This includes the shipping cost to return your ECU back to you. Please call us so we can answer any questions you might have.

Best Regards,

Daniel Bird

Read about it on the forum - it's everywhere, or on TVT's website.
There's a thread in the Group Buy which has a few responses and opinions on it.

You can get a ecu flash at inmotiontuning.com for $350.00, it would be crazy to pay $1527 for the same thing lol.

You have to get it activated to your vin at a Chrysler dealer first, or it won't work.

We've got a new unit that we can send to you though, so sending in the ECU is a thing of the past...

So you offer a ODB2 programmer now? I saw Inmotion's ebay ad and though it may have been a typo. How much is it?

Inmotion has had pretty much the same thing we are doing for a while now.

Ours is a compact unit that plugs into the car, reads your file, you email to us, we email back, and you plug back in. Whole process takes about 15 mins.

This is great for those wanting to have meets that aren't near LET or us.

One of the members of the forum, Noles, will be our tuner in the Houston, TX area in a few weeks.

Cost is the basic tune price, plus an 1800.00 deposit, fully refunded of course.
