My car exhaust is just a (cat back system) simple single pipe which goes straght back from the flange to the back muffler box.
But Ive seen pictures of other systems which have an extra box in between the cats and the back muffler, that is mounted off to one side on the end of a curved set of pipes. Which car is this from? Is it the SRT? and finally, will it fit the standard car?

Yes it's a resonater for the SRT-6 to make it quieter. I don't think it would serve any purpose on your car.

 

Thanks for this Robby; the system Ive seen is the Startech one which has this resonator, and is advertised as fitting the standard car, and, I think the back muffler is almost hollow to give a good sound. But of course the pipe diameter is (i think) a bit larger on the SRT. Hmm more checks needed I reckon!
