CAI Design/Setup Question(s)

I've been lurking on the boards for quite a while and purchased an '04 coupe about a month ago. I am interested in doing a DIY CAI setup and came across a few designs i like. I am wondering though, what has everyone done with the MAF sensor and the breather hose? Are they installed into the tubing? Have they been routed somewhere else? I am really curious as i don't see hardly any mention of it on any DIY setups.

Basically.......don't mess with 'em.......especially the MAF.

It is set to a certain spacing that is critical to the millimeter, as well as getting the proper airflow.
