yeah 250 rwhp would be frickin sweeeeet!!! that would easily get us in the 13 range. i mean our cars are lighter then 350z'z and my friend has one that made 228 rwhp and he runs high 13s stock. so i think we would def. see that.

Wink Injury caused by TVT 300?

Can I sue TVT for an injury caused by their stuff? I drove a "stock" Xfire a buddy was looking at buying, and I almost got out to push while doing 60mph -- It didn't feel like it was moving when I floored it compared to my TVT-equipped car !!!!

Tazz does it really make that much of a difference? do you think your 0-60 times are now in the 5 second category?

I don't think you'll get under 6 seconds unless you have nearly 300hp at the crank.
Compared to other rwd cars with around 260hp (a BMW 130i for example) you should be able to get around 6.2 second though.

I don't know about that, I think you could definitely get under 6 sec with this kit.

Wouldn't that be why it's the TVT300?

There other packages have crank hp close to the number in package.

One would think that since the thread is about a 300 package that TVT is getting about 300hp at the crank.

Amazing how that works.

Off my soapbox now.

We need a 1/4 mile time from you Tazz. I know your a track guy but would be intrested to see what you run since I'll be doing alot of the same upgrades such as the tune and tb.

I replied to kolevski's post who asked Tazz if his current mods make such a difference. So my reply wasn't about the TVT300 (which in fact TVT is expecting to have 300 hp at the crank) but about the package that Tazz is currently driving - and he might be around 270 hp at the crank.

I think I'll time my 0-60 time, I pretty much have all the same mods with the TVT 250 and NW CAI and just bought the 74mm Throttle body. I can tell you right now the car is a beast. Power to Weight ratio should be 11.2, I should have about 275 HP with my setup.

Geez 805, I think 275 sounds to be a bit high. Sure would be nice to know for sure. 260ish sounds more like it. But then again you have the TB and I dont.

The only dynos we have are stock (174 RWHP) and with CAI, Injectors, Tune (not the current one you all have), modded Tstat, and plugs/wires (215 RWHP). This was done on the same dyno so it is the most accurate measurement of the performance.

That gave us about 268 HP at the crank.

With the addition of current tune, stage 2 manifold and TB, exhaust, and UD pulleys we think we whould see in the 240-250 RWHP mark. If needed we will offer headers, but they are such a PITA for a decent set with gains that it may not be worth it.

Our car has the original tune that LET hadn't even tweaked yet. So there are a lot of Crossfires out there that are marginally faster then our car from just the tune alone.

This upcoming week may allow us some dyno time.

So let me get this straight. The injectors and tune i got last summer are now obsolete? You have now gone to larger injectors and a more enhanced tune? So if I opted for the new tvt 300 I would recieve different injectors and a different tune to go with the other new options?

Hi copycat,

Let me answer your question as we seem to have simular setups.
Our injectors are far from obsolete, as Anthony has stated they are still on sale and are good for 300bhp which is plenty for what we want.
As for the ECU Tune the tune you may have is the probably or close to the standard crossfire/mercedes tune that most tuners sell and will work fine with your current setup. The newer 'Jerry let' tune enhances on the injectors modification.

Steve

Whew...Thanks for clearing that up Stevie. In no way am I regreting getting the initial tune by Anthony. Ive been extremely satisfide. I just want to head in the right direction without taking any steps backwards. Now all I need to see are some numbers, and I'll be ready to take the next step.
