Thanks for your e-mail. I can most certainly do a Chrysler Crossfire but I don't have a template for them. That's not a problem, I have a procedure for someone to send me a template for them using a dollar store shower curtain. I can send that along in my next e-mail.
Liners are usually $85, but if liners are a bit larger they could go up to $95 or $105 depending on how much material. The Crossfire really isn't a big car so off-hand they would be $85. I don't have decals for them yet, does someone have an idea for an emblem? I would need to see a jpeg and also know how wide across for it. Decals would be $15 each.
I would need to know how many folks would like my aircraft material liners, I'd like to help as many out as I can. Shipping is $13 via Priority Mail

I am thinking of ordering later this week, but wanted to see if anyone was interested in this as well. Not sure what the previous owner of my SRT6 did to get the hoodliner so chewed on...
Interested, suggest the Crossfire profile as the decal, maybe with the wording in the right font???? I'd want the decal in silver for my SSB car of course.......
I contacted this guy last fall and am the person that was supposed to send the template with the shower curtain. I just have not had the time.
You will have to remove the hood for the install but I believe it will look good. Once I get moving on this, I was going to put SRT-6 on mine from a local guy that does decals.
I'm not prepared to arrange for a group buy, so it would be every member for herself/himself. Of course the person who would kindly send in the shower curtain template would earn my undying gratitude
Just another option. I took my hood off then took it down to Line-X. Had the hot melt truck bed liner sprayed underneath. Looks so good but it does add weight. Squirrel Crusher
Update: I threw in the towel and got the hood-liner (aka silencer) from the local dealership ($93), with the 14 rivets. Just replaced last night, and will post pictures soon (easy and no hood removal necessary).
If you are careful when removing the old rivets, you really don't need the new rivets. At almost $4.50 apiece, there is motivation to be careful. Since I knew I sucked at DIY, I had to buy the new rivets in case...
The old liner was pretty much eaten up on the inside. Rodents nested there for sure...
But I do have the old liner, and it won't be too difficult to use it to draw a template for Gonzalo to use, if anyone is interested in getting his custom liner.
I also have 14 re-usable rivets, if anyone is missing any (PM me).
Long span since the 2009 postings, but the aircraft foam hood liners are still apparently available from DHC (Duque Hoodliner Productions) with options for decals: https://www.hoodliners.net/products/...sfire-roadster
Price has risen to $105. Suggested install is to remove and invert hood, attach with 3M#80 spray adhesive and hood clips. Hoodliner is precut for perimeter and clip holes.
My 2005 SRT6 Roadster hood liner has dried, shrunk, and is now touching the top of the engine, leaving black smudges.
This replacement looks good, will entail a bit more effort than the original.
My question is whether anyone here has any experience or opinions on this item, method, or the supplier?
I have the original product, (before Duque). It was easy enough to install, but you will need a helper to remove and then reinstall the hood. It is heavy, so I needed the help of the guy next door, my wife could never have managed this. I laid the hood on a couple of wooden horses draped with a thick blanket. When reinstalling the hood back there was no problem with alignment. My hood liner has been on for about ten years and looks as good as the day installed. Perhaps the picture is generic on the Duque website or they are making the pad larger now, but mine fits entirely inside those clips on the sides and the back edge of the hood so there is no cut out as shown in the picture on the linked website. It helps also when you glue the pad to have a helper. I glued mine and laid it down by myself. My install is not real tight up against all areas of the hood. As I installed, the new pad would raise up from the flat of the hood along the length of the reinforcement ribs and it will stretch on you as you lay it down so another set of hands will help. The pads look really good. I may buy another for my SRT6 should my original start to droop down. Here is a picture of mine installed from a few years back:

Also, if you have black smudges on your plastic engine cover I would almost suspect broken engine mounts that hit the hood-liner because the engine is rising up.
Just a thought. I guess it's there for noise cancelling but how much does that actually help?

As far as I know, it wasn't available on the base model. My car doesn't have it.

Another thought, I always believed the hood liner was there to reduce the heat effect on the hood itself (like an insulation blanket). The less high temperatures hitting the underside, the longer the hood paint holds up.
When I bought our black roadster the previous owner had quite some time before removed the pad. So it has been gone for years and I haven’t noticed any heat or paint problems compared to our other 2 crossfires. I’m not promoting their removal be I don’t think it’s a problem if you do.
