Finally our Exhaust is done!

We did two exhaust installs this weekend and are confident we are happy with a design we want to move forward with.
First, it will not be a cat back, but a dual exhaust. Basically it will be a weld in system that replaces from the rear cats back with true dual exhaust. This will allow for the best combination of price and performance.
The reason we went this route is because we realized the majority of the cost of an exhaust is in the muffler and tips. By extending the pipes a little longer the cost isn't effected in a drastic way.
We've installed this exhaust on both the SRT6 and the NA, and other then the brackets for mounting being slightly different, everything fits up perfect.
If we get a GB going I can deffinately hit the 800.00 price point.
The pics below are showing it as a fully welded system onto the stock pipes before the rear cats. We have another option for tips and mufflers. The muffler in the pic is a straight through dual in/out set up.

- 2.5" T409 SS piping
- 2 piece V-banded system
- Dual Mufflers
- Polished Oval Tips
- Option to remove or keep rear mufflers

Did you happen to test fit on a roadster to take into account the rear bracing?

how much for a single 3" exhaust, y-pipe from header into the 3" sewer pipe out the back? keep weight down and just as good of a flow as your duel set up I would think. less parts to make keep the price down. probably do it for $400 no muffler.

I'll be honest, if you are looking for the most affordable way to do an exhaust you have two options.
1. Get a crush bent exhaust from a local exhaust shop
2. Learn to make your own
If you are looking for bargain basement parts and pricing you are looking in the wrong place.

I'd like to hear a sound clip as well. What about the stock tips, did you think about keeping them as an option?

That's genuine MB Belgian Block, imported from Germany.

Going Dual exhaust on these cars is strictly for looks and sound. There is a marginal HP gain (12 HP or so) and most of the gain that is "felt" will be from the sound increase. The stock system flows fine for all but the most heavily modified cars.

Exhaust is not a big power adder on these cars, if that's why you are looking to purchase it, don't make it the first mod. However, once you open the intake side up (intake, TB, porting) add some injectors and tune it then opening the exhaust will yield a more significant power gain.

We'll have both set ups at a show this weekend in NJ if anyone is local and wants to come by and check out our work. I also bought a new camera today, so good sound quality vids to come.

The reason we did not do a manifold back system is the additional cost and lack of benefit it would've brought. The stock cats are a very efficient design and will outflow 99% of crossfires out there. The additional cost of adding cats and flanges would've added another 400-500 to the total and brought maybe 1-2 HP.
Our goal is to provide an affordable alternative to the single cat back systems currently available.
We will most likely be building 10 systems, 5 SRT and 5 NA.
