ok i wanted to install a areo turbine muffler and put a a dual amg exhaust tip on it. the thing is it will stick out about mile out of the rear end. Do i need to cut some of the exhaust pipe so it all fits ?

 

no, leave it sticking out a mile (actually .9 miles). you can sit your cup of coffee on it when your outside and the heat from the muffler will keep your coffee warm. that is how all the cool people install their mufflers now.

be careful with the power increase with your turbine muffler. some people on here have seen gains of up to 399whp with that turbine muffler mod installed.

 

LOL... I just found a YouTube video with a Crossfire that has one of these installed. He is a member of the forum, as I remember seeing pics of his car before. I will leave it up to you for your opinion, but I am not feeling it. Also, the first time I have ever seen a single exhaust coming out of the back. And, hopefully the last. Nice looking car, and I think he has since removed the Aero muffler according to a comment on the YouTube page.

yeah that single tip looks almost as hideous as the paint job.

 

If the car was gold like the Top all over it would look good no stripes and NO SINGLE EXHAUST thats just not right ,,,,,,, But thats my opinion

 

yea i know it does look a little out of place but don't u think I can cut into the pipes just a little more and fit some exhaust tips in there, they'll be sticking out more than usual but i would rather invest in the aero muffler than a magnaflow because i like the high pitch noises more than those ricer sounding ones but thats just me !! But will that be possible to cut more into the exhaust pipe ?

 

If you have a muffler shop you trust they should be able to position the exhaust with the new tips to where it's close to the stock position ,It would look better ,and yes you can cut the pipe at the muffler .both sides .....

 

Did you listen to that YouTube video? You don't think that sounded like a civic with a coffee can on the back? No way that I would want that sound on my car. To each their own.

 

...other single tip I've seen... and he still has his on his car, doesn't sound ricer, add a nice tone to it.

 

I think the high pitch sounds better than low gargleing sound!
im more of the euro sounding kind of person
