Default Tips needed...

Figuratively, AND literally... haha

I'm looking to swap out the exhaust soon. 95% sure I'm not going with the Magnaflow 16633 cat-back system, due to the ~$600 price. Most likely doing my own custom route and either buying an existing member's system for sale, of fabbing my own for half the price of the Magnaflow setup.

So, I'll need tips. I like the Magnaflow double-wall tips like mrphotoman has on his... They truly look classy.

But, I also have been considering titanium lately. Nothing garish like on a Civic, think more along the lines of M3 or GTR.

Here's an example:

So... On an alabaster, which do you think would be the better look? I think it would flow well with either. Titanium sort of conveys that classy "sport" look, and I don't know of anyone here that is running them. The muffler will be black and tucked in deep enough that only 1/2"-1" of tip will stick out from the rear. Both tips will be 4", evenly spaced. Both tips have a 20 degree slant...

Price is roughly the same for either tip choice, so that's not a big factor.

Opinions?

Thanks for the input. The Titanium tips will have the same overall look as the Megan RS muffler... it'll just have the burnt tip.

I'm like you, neither one would be horrible.

JH-

I just called Wundercarparts and they will still sell the 16633 for $350 plus shipping. I spoke to Ryan and Brad is the owner.

wUnderCarParts (1-888-986-3373). You can call them and say you want the Crossfire forum deal of $350 plus shipping for a Crossfire Magnaflow 16633 Stainless Cat-Back Exhaust.

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ack-350-a.html

The only way to go, IMFO.

Best of luck.

Holy smokes, THAT'S A FREAKING STEAL.

I may end up deleting this thread, LOL... Because that's HALF of what I was expecting to pay.

I posted this great deal for $350 with WunderCarParts back in mid 2008. Brad, the owner has keeped it at that price ever since, if you mention this Forum. It has been and is a good buy. Love mine! Here's a link to original post:

Cool man, I know you're nuts about Eisenmann... Can't blame ya in the slightest. Too bad Meisterschaft doesn't make a nice one for us...

I'm booked tonight, but I'll text ya if plans break.

He's also running without secondary cats AND without his resonator... Those things alone made it pretty darn loud. I thought it was PLENTY loud when I drove it...

Agreed! Although personally I'd say between the two I prefer the Titanium tips, for that "sporty" look, the doublewalled/oval tips always seem like (to me) Yosemite Sam is holding a shotgun under my car, which looks great on black, but I think would look silly on white.

Keep in mind, I'm referring to the tips that "flare" out, I'm not saying anything against round tips in general. And it's all personal preference anyways!
