Default Modified Engine Cover

Can anyone help me out with instructions on how to modify the stock engine cover to go with the needs wings cold air intake.

I can always get one of the MB covers, but I am in a Chrysler club and don't really think that this is going to please too many people. Ha ha.

Here is how I modified mine, and it took less than one minute to do.

bmorgan, he has a Limited so no fancy schmancy supercharger to show off like you and I.

Violenteer, if you want to keep the factory engine cover, you will need to knock off the passenger side and back 4-5 inches of it. Doing this will not be easy and you lose one of the mounts so it may sit on the engine crooked. Personally, I'd go with the MB one and modify it to your liking. Fill in the recess where the MAF sensor sits on the MB cars, sand the living daylights out of it so it all looks nice and smooth, shoot it with some high-temp flat black or other color of your choosing, have a sign company make some Chrysler overlays for where the MB logos once where and call it a day.

We had a customer from PA that modified his stock airbox to hide his CAI . It looked amazing, but involved a good bit of fiberglass work.

Off hand I don't remember his screen name.

You can go with the alternate Mercedes engine cover that fits our 3.2. It looks something like this:

Anthony, you've had customers that have done everything under the sun! Got any pics? I'm always game to see other peoples handy work, especially when it's something that is very one-off like a FG'd custom airbox.

I've been thinking about it too Violenteer. But I'd rather get a used one cheap to figure it out or just get a different MB cover.

yeah that is the problem, you dont exactly want to go hacking into the existing one to find out you have ruined it...

maybe go with the MB one and then just modify that...

If you clean up the na's engine bay, no cover would look clean.
powdercoated valve covers, polished or ceramic coated intake manifold, and do something with the god awful stock fuel rails.

I have a set of valve covers, an intake manifold and a fuel rail if you want get another set painted or coated. I know the people to do teflon or powdercoating and if you just want it body colored or mopar orange, any body shop worth it's salt can do it relatively inexpensively. PM me with any questions.

Yes sir, among hundreds of other parts. Throttle bodies, front engine covers, oil filter housings... You name it and there's good chance I may have it.

how much do you want for one? Ive been looking for a spare to coat/port
possibly the valve covers as well

any c32 exhaust manifolds? I need the non turndown style for the turbo kit, I think the v8's length might work on the passenger side, but not on the drivers side due to the ps and ac lines.

I wish the ps resi was seperate from the pump :/

Rudy,

If you were at the first Carlisle meet his name was Glen and he was with his mopar shop but had his crossfire. Even if you were at the second one, I'm pretty sure he brought his car and was with his mopar shop. They were to the right of the stage and were in charge of the judging for that particular section of cars.

Check out Mister Taz's car for a look at what we did with his engine bay, very nice in my opinion. You can see the pics of it on our site as well.
