Talking Valve cover gaskets from hell

So my motor suffers from the dreaded leaking vc gaskets.
I started taking them off tonight and found that i have oil residue pretty much everywhere, down the heads, valley of the motor, intake manifold around the injector bosses...
its even stained the valvecovers

So looks like im going to go on ahead and pull the intake manifold off, so i can clean everything properly, as well as install my egr and air injection blockoff kit once i get in from tvt.

Might also give me some time to look into options for replacing the hideous stock fuel rails with billet pieces.

I'll update with pictures on the process as i go.

Just an FYI, i just purchased valve cover gaskets from: Skyland Automotive in Asheville, NC. The shipping was fast and the gaskets were relatively cheap.
$13.87 R
$14.62 L
$14.00 shipping.

I did buy a couple of other parts, but wanted to give you an idea on what I paid for shipping as well.
the website I went to was oediscountparts.com. He (Ivan Taffer) used the MB part numbers to get me a better price on the gaskets as opposed to the Chrysler part numbers. I think he saved me a few bucks per side.
phone number is: 828-667-5213.

I would buy from them again.

Good luck on getting your leak fixed. My valve cover breathers were leaking, so I pulled the valve covers fixed the leak and then painted the valve covers. they were pittyful looking and need it.

Cheers,
KrzyFast
