I just read that K-Mart has a nationwide sale on Mobil 1 Synthetic Motor Oil, all grades, including more expensive Extended Protection - 2 for $10. I am not sure if they carry 0W40 or not. I will try to go and check it out tomorrow. Additionally, K-Mart has a $10 off $20 coupon right now. So, this could work out to $2.50 per quart for 4 qts. of Mobil 1. Take a spouse or friend and get 8 quarts.

Sale is confirmed. The store I went to did not have 0W40.
