For about 2 weeks I have had this problem of when I let off the gas I get a high pitch ringing noise from the passenger side dash. Its only when I let off the gas. Its not the brakes or anything mechanical for sure. Any Ideas? I am about to make a 1000 make run each way in 6 days. Gotta get it figured out fast.

I have turned off everything...all AC, all fans, all radio anything that is on when its running like that i have turned off and it onloy makes the noise when i let off the gas. if I let off the gas a little or a lot..its all the same. Ringggggggggggggg ...till the gas is pushed again or i level off on the pedel...its very very strange. I dont know if its the fly by wire gas pedal telling me that its about to go out or what.

 

does the car idle ok,,, it sounds like it could be a vacuum leal, but just incase it is the brakes ,when you let off the gas press the brake peddle very soft , to see if the ringing changes jim

 

Thanks Jim, I have tried the brakes already its 100% surely not something like that. I didnt think of a vacume leak. It does idle a little rough at times lately. Ya know come to think of it. About 3 weeks ago I did have the belt sling off, thank God half of it was still there to put back on to get me into town again. But that could have done something to it....THANKS Jim, I will look in a few hours.
