Default Endorsement for Mobile 1 0-W40

After completing my first successful oil change(thanks boilerup, Doc for suggestions last night), i go back to Advance Auto parts to dump my old oil and decide to purchase another 10 quarts since the 29.99 special is still going on. After having been asked if they have 10 quarts to sell, the worker replies that they try to stock over 100 quarts at any given time becuase some of the Indycar race teams(he named Andretti-Green, Ganassi) use that specific oil in their race engines and buy it from them. Could it have been a sales pitch? Doubt it because I came in asking for it and willing to buy it and it makes sense as some of the team HQ's are not that far away from where I was. For what its worth, thought it was kind of neat that my Crossfire has the same oil in it, both brand and weight, as an Indycar. If its good enough for them...

I agree, I use the same air in my tires as they do.

If I was running a Motorsport team, I'd be buying my oil in bulk by the barrel, not in 5 litre containers from a local car store.

actually he lives not far from their shops, and the last time I was down on gasoline alley where most of the shops are located, no bulk oil is used, all lined up plastic jugs of oil....don't know why....but they do...those teams don't have the big bucks they once had...I looked at one of the transport positions...didn't pay that well....lol
