Default 6000 RPM REV limiter?

I'm gathering information on the REV limiter on the base crossfire. About 5 times or so when I'm doing 0-100 mph I felt the fuel being cut off. Right when I'm around 98-100 mph (I think) My RPM is reaching 6000. I have no problems reaching 6000 RPMs on a dyno and plenty of fuel to go around too. I know a REV limited protects the engine, and understanding what's my engine has been programmed to do is going to be the key to overcome this problem at the track.

Key points to consider:

-While experiencing this problem I was using nitrous
-My top speed under nitrous at the 1/4 mile track 101.7 mph
-My nitrous kit does not have a fuel pressure sensor
-I'm not lean, I'm a little on the rick side (have bigger injectors and two fuel pumps)
-My top speed without nitrous was around 140 mph (I stop it there because I ran out of road)

Please let me know what you got on this subject? Thanks
