You just have to realize that those "Devil Horns" are just saw-cut 45 degree elbows.

Max-Redline.com - 3" 45 Degree Bend Aluminum Pipe, 2.0mm Thick Bend, 18" Length
Of course there is the coupler and clamps too.
i actually have the devil horns from needswings and by the time you purchase the elbows, the reducer for the driverside, 2 lengths of 3" tubing, a length of 2.75" tubing, 5 clamps you have saved maybe 20$. for that price ill let rob do all the work and ill just do the install!!
also remember if guys like rob cant make a profit then theres no reason to build dual cai's mani's adj fuel setups supercoolers ...... i think you get the idea!

I can do it for less than that. But that does not leave profit.

As I stated in another thread-kudos for the guys at NW, TVT etc. More power to them.

I'm just sayin', bud! Don't get bent?

We have all the equipment and materials to replicate the Devil Horns, but honestly I don't see a reason. It is much easier to pick up the phone and call Rob, then to have to put together a kit that you know has already been sized to fit.

But I do applaud the DIY guys, that's where we all started from anyway.

Max, I don't think Steve was bent outta shape. He's simply saying that by the time you go to Lowes twice, Home Depot three times, and the ADD kicks in and you forget things, measure incorrectly, bla bla bla... it's easier for most of us to simply purchase from NW.

Not to mention, Rob is a great upstanding guy and I enjoy helping home-grown businessmen. DIY works for some folks, and hats-off to them.

It's like when hunters tell me how much cheaper venison is than buying beef from a store...

But when you add up the ammunition, guns, scopes, hardee's biscuits, gas to and from the field, processing fees, and that $300 leafy-wear camo... it ain't much cheaper. In fact, I'm such a terrible hunter it normally costs me MORE.

Not to mention, I can buy beef and not have to rot on a hillside for eight hours in 20 degree weather.

And miss work the next week due to being sick.

Been there, done that.

so now you simply have the ability to replicate parts? thats true modding at its best!!! go back and research your posts. your like an infomercial that cant be turned off

Hey!

At least he's providing parts and services for our red-headed stepchildren. Chrysler and MB sure won't.

Vendors that do us a service are to be applauded. Not chastised. Has TVT done something wrong?

Vinnie, just keep on keepin' on.

wow...I am new here...can you help me? Geez guys, he just asked a simple question....and we are into a physics lesson again...lol....I love ya Max....anyway...there isn't anything wrong with making your own CAI...nor is there anything wrong with running the dreaded "devil horns"...which I am sure Rob cooked up one day when he cut an elbow wrong...they do look pretty mean...for me, having met Rob and became friends with Rob, I know he does his homework, he tests what he builds, add in the "professor" Woody, and they have a great product....doesn't mean you can't do something similar, but it is a good product...I have seen others, like Max's, that has the "look" and I am sure it does just fine for him.....and knowing he was probably "strong armed" by John to build another...lol....the point is, he asked for some tubing...just some tubing...personally, I think the stock air box met all the EPA standards for the auto industry, but it chokes down the air too much...that is why CAI aftermarket is so strong across the board in the auto world...anything just about, is better than stock...now straighten up and get along out there....is that enough hot air for ya....lol

I was referring, of course, to the aftermarket and in-house design parts (suspension, intake etc.) that TVT and Needswings offer.

I was not aware either of them stock OEM replacement parts.

Sorry to offend.

Sheesh.

Sorry to you too Doc.
