Default Magnaflow #14220

Hi Everyone,

I have an '05 Limited Roadster and I'm considering some light exhaust modification. I only want to replace the stock muffler to get a little louder sound but want to retain the original exhaust tips. From what I've found here on the forum I'm leaning toward the Magnaflow #14220 muffler. Some people have reported using this one but I'd like to know what will be required to actually have it installed. Some photos would be very helpful. I did find a video/sound clip of it and I like it. My local muffler shop will do the job if I get the muffler for him. (I found it online for $110 which is less that what he can get it for)

I welcome any thoughts anyone would like to share.

Thanks!!

Don't know about that one, but I went with the Magnaflow 16633 Stainless Cat-Back Exhaust. I'm very happy with the sound, but there is a drone from time to time; the severity depends on the RPM/how much the car is working. In a coupe, I've heard it can be much worse as it resonates more....in the roadster, it can be a bit annoying, but I either speed up or drop it down a gear.

Good luck.

It appears that muffler has the same measurements as mine (12138) except for the outlet diameters. I don't see a problem with it. I went with SS 4" angled tips 35136 to keep from messing with my originals.

It is for a stock exhaust system: 1 pipe in and 2 out to the chrome stock tips. Similar to the #12138 but this one is "polished SS" with a Magnaflow logo on the side. Whoopie!!

Single muffler, 1 inlet, 2 outlets.

I did not want it polished, I painted the muffler with high temp satin black. I wanted the muffler hidden, all but the tips.
