That's good to know Paul, let us know if that includes an xfire fleece filter. When Advance has the same sale, they limit you to a MOBIL 1 Filter up to $10.99 and the one for the Xfire is $17.99. No way they will let me pay the difference either because they have to scan each item and the computer reverts to reg. price if the filter is over $10.99.

I've been searching at all the local auto parts stores here in Melbourne Florida and can't find any 0-30w synthetic at all, and the Mobil 1 5-30w doesn't have the MB certification on it, but the Mobil 1, 5-40 w does. But while I have read on this forum, and in my manual as I seem to recall, that it is ok to use 5-30w, I have never read that it is ok to use 5-40w anywhere... Is there a reference document somewhere saying that 5-40w is ok to use? Having been changing oil for some 45 years, my gut call is that 5-40w would work just fine here in Florida, but I'd like to see it in writing. Till then, I'm going to continue annd try an find the MB certified 0-30w... Any suggestions from you guys? Best regards -- Bob

Hey guys, please disregard my insane post above... As a new srt owner I had written down all the items that I needed to buy in a notebook, and wrote down 0w-30, which is incorrect, versus 0w-40, which is the correct weight.... So, shame on me, because I even had the correct oil in my hands yesterday, Mobil 1 Synthetic, MB certified, 0w-40, and yep, it was on sale, just like you said. Fortunately, I was able to find the correct Mann fleece filters and copper washers, thanks to the info provided on this great forum. Best regards- bob

I bought my Mann fleece filter disguised as the Purolator L25277 from Autozone for $12. And of course I am only using the Amsoil 5w-40 which I buy discounted from my next door neighbor.
