Default New Needswings Single CAI Installation

I just got my new Needswings single CAI install on the coupe this morning. Rob has done a fantastic job with the newer setup making it much easier to install.

Nice re-design. I can see how the dual CAI brought this about.

I really like it but it is a matter of priorities for me. If I get that something else must go. I'll have to live with mine the way it is.

Looks great Itsky! I hope you didn't have the same bloody knuckles like I did getting it through the front plastic wall. But the end result was well worth it.

This install was a "cuss-free" installation. When I did the one for my roadster, it was much more difficult. But you are right, that front plastic molding is a pain in the you-know-what to get out.

Did you sign and number it Rob? lol

What made this install easier itsky? Did the previous owner already remove the front plastic molding or was it the experience of doing one?

The MAF wiring no longer needs to be moved. Rob has relocated where it attaches to the CAI. On the roadster install, it took me a lot longer as I didn't want to clip any of the wires accidentally when extending the wire for the MAF. See photo:

Dumb question, as it's always a good thing to have a cooler intake charge... but will the effect of the gold-ceramic coating truly be noticeable on the N/A cars, versus the standard NW single with Teflon?

In other words, how many degrees will it deduct from the normal setup, in equal ambient temps?

Great looking product, as always.

That is one sexy intake! Love the color! My DIY doesn't look so nice, but it gets the job done for me and I call it NealsWings.

I see you have the new intake and exhaust on order, when you going to change out that 7 year old battery? LOL

I like your priorities, but when you are stuck in the snow somewhere and the car will not start, the intake and exhaust won't help you too much

If Itsky's taken one of his two Crossfire's out in the snow and gotten stuck, I would guess that he has bigger issues going on than just a dead battery.

BC.
