Default Car stalled! Fuel Filter & Pump parts number needed!

hi guys,

This evening, my car stalled as i was traveling at 70mph. Tried starting the car again but failed. Called the mechanic to come over and have a look and he managed to get it started without changing anything! All he did was he removed the fuel pump cover and took a hammer and knock at the fuel pump and Hurray! Everything back as normal. He did suggested me to get the filter and pump changed.

Anyone know what is the part number for the fuel pump? I know the fuel filter is A002 477 30 31.

cheers

Eddy

I would look into this matter further rather than take the word of a guy who uses a hammer to diagnose repairs. Who's to say it the car had not cooled down enough to start anyway as it may have a heat related problem, he may be correct but.....
See the problems with the Crankshaft Position Sensor and the Relay Control Module. These are easier and cheaper fixes and these may be your problem, any errors showing or engine light on?
