I dont know, I use to run red line water wetter in my talon Tsi when I lived in Las vegas, the stuff had a good rep and didnt cause any problems.

 

personally I'd never add anything odd to these cars. While really great, I have no interest in screwing up their tighter tolerances anything. Ain't broke don't fix it is my mantra. New Agey that.

 

Red Line Water Wetter is nothing odd and has been used in numerous cars.

 

Yeah, but did it do any good? Probably not.
These cars do not seem to overheat so why bother? Read the ad and it would appear we are the verge of blowing the rad. Phooey.
I could get four, correction, three gallons of gas for that price. Or a gallon or so of Perrier water.

 

Wait a minute...I thought you guys bought everything by the liter.


On a serious note, keep the stuff out of your cooling system. If you're overheating, you have a problem that needs to addressed and this "band-aid", so to speak, is not the answer.

 

I use water wetter in my MG and Sunbeam. All it does is reduce surface tension like any surfectant. Old technology cars and product. Not going in my crossfires or Triumph. Gary

 

Good replies, Rudy and Arado. Rudy's the more mechanical POV, Arado's the more technical, and both cover that ground well. It may not do any harm, but I can't imagine it does anything great either, so what would be the point? Especially at that cost.
