Guys, as some of you know, recently I purchased the Mopar Performance Exhaust system that is exactly like, and manufactured by Borla. This system uses two mufflers, one before the axle (like the SRT6) and one at the rear outlet. Also it is a two piece system. The system was barely louder than the stock system. I would have been very disappointed with this system had I paid retail for it. But since I paid about 1/3 of the cost from a closed Chrysler dealer, I was going to make the best of it.
Anyway, I removed the most rear portion of the system, replacing it with a tail pipe and tip as shown in the pics. The mod can be unbolted and made whole again in about 15 minutes with NO modification. The system sounds great around town, above 50 mph the sound goes away which exactly how I like it when traveling.

John, I don't see a problem using this tip with a muffler if you have a good exhaust guy. The tip can be cut short and welded directly to the muffler. The tip can work if your muffler guy is willing to take the extra effort. The longer I have this tip on my car, the more I like it. Currently I am looking for three small pieces of METAL stainless or chrome door edge guards to put on the 3 dividers in the tip. I tried plastic and it looked awesome. Once around the block they melted into a mess!!!
Good Luck and thanks, James

Time for some more measuring LOL
John, If you can't find a pipe bender to make a sharp enough bend to make the turn into the muffler, you could cut a 1/4 section out of this and weld it on. Just a thought as I came across this...

That isn't "mandrel bent". It's a two piece stamp and welded around the inner and outer edges.
It will work for you, but I'm just sayin'...

You know I thought about how they could bend it without an opening, but never really studied it. You are correct about it being two piece.

Tom, sorry I don't own anything to get a sound clip. The sound is all personal preference and it is just as I like it. The sound is not an attention getter, but you will hear it good if you notice the car. Normal driving it is just a bit louder than stock, but get on it and seems to come alive.

Any Chrysler dealer should be able to order them for you or eBay...

I dont' know James, you should sell me yours and go with those diffusers...they look like they would go with the new exhaust even better...they look good either way....I looking for diffusers for the coupe now....but, not those...need to match the roadster...
This might be a stupid question, but on an srt6 this would be restrictive right? Its inlet is only 2.5 inches, and the srt6 exhaust is three right? Again I might be way off, if so bummer!
Looks beautiful!!!!

Its been well over a month now with the new exhaust mod in place. Although the sound has not much to do with the tip, I think, it is absolutely perfect for me. If I drive it like a normal human being, it is just loud enough to hear. If I drive it my favorite way, it sounds awesome, with no drone, none. Above 55-60, hardly any sound which will be great driving 1000 miles to Denver.
The rectangle tip is very unique and have had many positive comments about it. I do miss the 4" rounds in some ways.
If I go back to rounds or ovals next year, I will still keep the rear muffler deleted.
