Default Just seafoamed my xfire (how to)

I looked around for some instructions as how to do this in this car, found no real help and dived right in.

1) I started the car and popped the hood,

2)popped out check valve on brake booster because of the silicone line.

3) slowly add seafoam to vacuum line, enough to not stall the engine

4) when you get close to 1/3 the seafoam gone, dump a bit in till it stalls or just sputters, then turn it off.

5) replug vacuum check seal. I let it sit for 15-30 min

6) turn on and rev sporatically,

7) enjoy the smoke show!

8) take it for a spirited drive,

9) enjoy!

I have no picture of it on our car. (will take some tomorrow maybe). It is the black circle on the brake booster, in the back right corner of engine. Has a hard silicone hose going left.

I Seafoamed my car this evening because I just put in "Reconditioned" injectors. With that vacuum line sucking, i didn't realize how much i was actually putting it. It took forever to burn it all off. I was starting to get worried I screwed something up.

Also it tripped my check engine light the moment it kicked back to running regular. Disconnected my battery and the light stayed off. *phew*

It should still be stored in the memory, check the code for the record.

I am curious why you did this, and what you were trying to accomplish?

The reason it took a while to clear was probably because it was trapped in the converters and had to burn it all out.

As i said they were reconditioned when i bought them. Depending on the seller, there's no telling what condition they're actually in. Anyways I plan on taking my car to a Dyno friday and having the car retuned for the injectors. Just making sure they were good to go.

I have been using seafoam for years and I use it in my 6 just add to a tank of gas 2 times a season ,you get the same effect ,keeps the injectors clean as new.also helps at the throttle body, Great product...
I dont fog my engine during storage either because I can just walk downstairs and fire it up and let it run a few minutes ,but I do use Sta-bil ..

But you know your method did not allow the Seafoam to run thru the injectors themselves. I still don't know what you were trying to accomplish. If you said you poured Seafoam into your fuel system, I would understand.
