Which SRT exhaust combination - no drone
I have been reading exhaust posts for SRT6's since last night. I cannot figure out what to do with my exhaust. I'm not happy with the stock sound but I don't want the drone that can happen with exhaust changes. What would be the best combination: rear cat delete stock muffler, resonator delete stock muffler, you get the picture... I've had an '03 vette with no muffler at all, bad drone but sure did sound good opened up. I've listened to quite a few youtubes on the SRT6 but I've not heard one that sounded good. Looking for opinions....
I had my rear cats out and enjoyed the note and drivability. I then removed the resonator, this was a hugh mistake IMO. The car now sound excellent at WOT, but at half throttle or around 70MPH the drone is just noise. I have heard other SRT-6's with just the muffler removed, I am told that there is no drone with this set-up, but to me it just did not sound good under power. My opinion is removing the rear cats will give you a beefer sound with out the drone drama.
I have secondary CAT delete and an Ansa muffler. Ansa is an OEM manufacturer for Ferarri. This muffler sounds great an no drone. Some SRT guy's dismiss this muffer because of the inlet pipe size, but what they may not know is the inlet pipe is stepped to fit differnt size pipes. You have to cut the inlet tube close to the muffler to git the Crossfire pipe size. Here is a sound clip, this clip was after I put in a V8. Still sounded very good with the V6. The Ansa is rated up to 500HP.
Soound from the rear about a minute into it.

Hi Lantana TX, I wanted to look up the Ansa Sport Muffler on their web site but they ask for year, make, and model, of course there is no crossfire so how do you look up the right muffler for the car. Do you have a part # or is there another car model that fits the crossfire. Thanks, Ramono.

I have Resonators out now and was going to take rear cats out also but I've recently been watching videos of crossfire with not reso and no muffler and it has the deeper sound I'm looking for. I'm scared no muffler will give it too much drone
