Default 154 MPH ampient temp 86

So today I decided that I would see what she would do in 86° temperature i ran 154 miles an hour and the IAT's went to 171.not bad IAT for 154 mph,, here's a picture of the graph.here 3-30-12.
with my latest mod, my IAT's,, running 60 to 70 miles an hour are 3 to 4° above ambient,, running 80 miles an hour my IAT's are 4 to 10° above ambient., my engine temperature runs approximately 100° above ambient at normal operating speed..speed goes up temperature goes up both engine and IAT.

I made three runs one at 139, one at 147, and one at 154. the log you're looking at is the one for the 154.

Hey Jim!

Those cruising temps are admirable but it looks like you could use some water injection for those high speed runs. I tried a high flow fan but my car ran hotter with it. Now I'm doing some back yard engineering. Water, meth water meth water meth Snow AIS Devil's own..... trunk mount front mount what to do????????

Les, if you're going to use it for racing you are going to need a trunk mount with a big enough tank to last for the race.....

Les, have you looked into the Killer Chiller? The only downsides would be rigging the AC to not shut off during WOT and the loss of power from running the compressor.

Jim, how long was that run to 154?? I found a nice straight stretch of road that frequently has no traffic just a few minutes from the house that is about 1.5 miles long.... I am thinking of making a 1/2 mile run on it and seeing what I can hit.... if it will just stop raining long enough to dry out good...

I would want at least 2 or 3 miles and a real good surface to try a max speed run....

As a graduate of Auburn, I don't like ducks...though they are easy to beat.

the road is about 2 miles long . I made this run a few months ago but without a log,my IAT's went to 170 and that was only 135 miles an hour. So this new mod seems to work. The tail tale will be to get back to the track. Jim

I thought about it once I was there...but it was a bit of a whirlwind. They told me on Monday that they wanted me to leave Tuesday. Booked my ticket, got on a plane. Dinner Tuesday night, meetings from 8-5 with Nike Wednesday, and back on the plane Thursday for a 6:25am flight back to NJ....was back in the office by 4pm and was working for another few hours.

I was pooped.
