Use the search feature, and start reading threads like this one:

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ew-boards.html

An after market CAI and tune would be a good start. But you have a LOT of reading to do!

Also, go to the section below titled "REGIONAL FORUMS" and find a way to get together with others and "network" (that is the snazzy term used today) your way to that coveted 500 HP!

get a dual or single cai and a tune thats about the best place to start it may not be cheap though...theres lots of info on this site if u have time to sit and read but short of a turbo or supercharger your not gonna get a huge amount of HP but you will have a nice fun ride if you heavy mod your 05 N/A

They keep playing around down there I might have to see if I can sneek back into my "second proto" slot.. LOL. Na.. a deal is a deal irregardless. But Stephanie did say they would cut me a good deal if I wanted them to do the install. It might end up being a weeks vacation down there instead of running down and back and down and back..

A buddy and I are looking at power-adders as we speak, lol. We are going to try to get a turbo kit made up. Unsure of any details as of now, but will keep you in the know. My buddy is a computer genius and if anyone can crack these ecu's, he can. If not, its stand alone fuel time!!!. He is bragging that he has never NOT been able to get a turbo set up and dialed in on anything yet. He even went as far as to say he believed he can do it for less than a grand. Thats what he said... a grand!! We shall see. I'll believe it when I see it. I even bet him that he cant do it, just to keep him motivated to prove me wrong, lol. Wish him luck!

It's not your fathers Oldsmobile.. LOL.

6 months and still going for headers..by a speedshop.. wonder why?
3 months and still going for turbo system...by a turbo system developer..wonder why?
Several attempts to boost already by members..turbo mounted etc..and not able to finish out.. wonder why?

If reality sounds like negativity there probably is some reasoning behind it.

Just a word to the wise.. crack the fuel maps, programming, etc before investing in turbo and tubing?

Believe me I'd love to see a write up about "Cracking the German code... a success story"

*Signing up for German speech classes next week*
I did go to Pauls site and alot of those links and parts are no longer available..grrrrr. Everywhere I look is a brick wall. No wonder. I have to figure out my fuel economy issues this week anyway. Averaging roughly low to mid teens on hwy and city and not "on it" all the time. I am thinking there are issues. Plugs maybe??? All happening this weekend. Have you heard of any other underdrive pullies for the xf? Maybe I need to start thinking more mb? Looks like 2000-04 CLK320 and 01-04 SLK320/32? Correct? Any others? Someone has to make more for these cars. Pulling my hair out here. Ready to pull the trigger on more power but nothing to shoot for, lol. Never had this problem. Kinda like ED??? hahahaha

maybe you need to start with a tune up first, how many miles are on the vehicle? and as for the aftermarket stuff...years ago there were more places to get aftermarket parts but now alot of things for these cars are rare or custom...needwings and eurocharged make 90% of the stuff, you have to remember these cars were only made for 4 years and when it comes down to it an average crossfire owner wants top notch quality for cheap basically has a champagne taste and a beer budget...pauls xfire is the highest modded n/a if you want to follow his site he has alot of good parts but if you want major HP your gonna have to buy a srt6 or start saving money and get a turbo or s/c need any help PM me i can give you more info on your questions if you like...

Wow, I thought Eurotune's were being done cheaper than that. Was that a group buy deal? Also, is it noticable power? I keep hearing about sprint boosters too being a good start and worth the money. what is better in your opinions. Positives and negatives to both?

sprint booster will add no HP just give you instant throttle response...as for eurocharged they have always been expensive but around the holidays they do a discount on them...you will notice alot of power from one but i would do some mods before you get a tune just so you get the full benefits of a tune...
