Hi guys,

Second time I've singed up to the forum.

I have just got a 2004 crossfire with a knackered engine " someone ran it out of oil"

I really want to keep it but I'm having trouble locating a engine, I know theres a few 320 Mercedes engines that can go in but I'm not sure which one's and I don't no what to look out for eg. Engine numbers, models etc.


If anyone could guide me in the right direction or has one I will b happy to buy it obviously if the price is right.

Any help will be much appritiated.

Sorry your having this trouble! Hope you got the XF at a low price! Anyway, Ebay has dozens of engines with varying milage. Some are pretty inexpensive AND have free shipping. Just make sure it has some kind of warranty and was not hit on the front end. Good luck on your quest for a replacement engine!

 

Thanks for your reply, I'm based in the uk and I have had a brief look on eBay but I'm not sure which ones can interchange.

Does anyone know what models of Mercedes I can get the engine from?

 

Almost any MB that has 320 in it's model #.
That denotes the W112 3.2 litre V6 engine.
You can mix/match parts from your old 'knackered' engine to the new 3.2 until all the onboard computer gods are happy.

 

Now thats what I'm talking about .

Yep, but then you could take the opportunity to stuff in a MB V8 also like Lantana and some others have done ...

I have been offered a 3.2 w210 engine will this be interchangeable?
