BEGi Turbo Kit information/discussion thread
Must have been a popular color.. it's a 92. Had the wife "punch it" on the test drive (it's officially her car) and scared her.. LOL. Few minor things to fix.. but I think we're going to enjoy having this
I'm probably going to have to break a few things so I get a "honey can you check it out"..

They seem to be as good about pics and details as we are here!
The turbo'd SRT6 mentioned is Bryan's in Chicago. He's been working on it longer than you guys have been waiting. He's running in the half mile event next week. I will break in the coupe there as well. We will see how they stack up.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out..would you keep us all posted. It would be appreciated.
Close of another business week and not update from Begi. I guess that having it running in 10 days was another false illusion. Is it possible they are looking for a powder coater that will take a I.O.U. Or is it possible the brilliant engineers and tuners are getting this thing to run. I wonder if they have figured out how to Dyno it yet?
I'm guessing the gas is getting stale after a year and a half. Are we dead in the water, do we need to resuscitate again. Absolutely nothing this builder has said, has happened. Nothing. Hense the saying "the bullshit is on the wrong side of his boots."

First mod for that thing is some seats! It would be nice if Chevy would include seats in Vettes someday. Those milk crates wear thin fast.

No complaints on the seats yet..
Have a feeling the flowmasters are going to have to be replaced soon though. I like em, but don't know how long the wife will..
But back on topic.. guess they just tossed out more crumbs for the community to feed on for another couple months..

BEGi / Bell Engineering Chris, Jeff and Corky are still hard at work. They are putting in about 15+ hrs a week, at least. Corky and Jeff have come up with a way to simplify the intercooler tube from the turbo to the intercooler. Since it is long and ground clearance is an issue, they found a way to make it fit better and easy to install. The new materials are here and they are making the new tube. It should replace three of the above pictured tubes plus no loss of ground clearance. As much as I do not like the delay, I do think it is worthwhile to take the time to do. I will try and get some photos before I am out of town for 10 days.

New update from FB just maybe another 2 weeks or two weeks

On the C6 seats they came with nice kit to help them out , so they don;t go into milk crates

10 days since we heard from them, but 2 months since photos, and without photos it's all bullshit because a year ago they said 10 to 15 days. Now it's all about photos for credibility. Dyno, ha ha , they don't know how.
Darn, another close of a business week has come and gone. No update or photos. Who would have thought. Maybe another 2 weeks, two months and heading into year two.

Since I've moved on from this and playing with the Vette I had actually put this out of mind..
Hey..if they have a spare passenger fog light we might could work a deal here! LOL

Just more BS
BEGi / Bell Engineering Corky has revised/modified the turbo outlet, wastegate mount, and turbo inlet pipe. He also found a way to clock the turbo for more ground clearance. Part of the simplifying I mentioned earlier. The long intercooler tube is about 80% done. He says we need to do the air filter cover and connect the IC tube to the throttle body. We have a flow meter mount made, but Corky may revise it as well to look nicer. The intercooler is mounted and complete as well.
Maybe another two weeks.

So comes another close of a business week and no update or pictures.
Here is a "Cut and Paste" from almost a year ago, notice how similar it is to the last update: Same tune, different words.
08-24-12
Hi DJ,
Sorry I've been out of comm for a while. Virtually everything has been hot and heavy to the point of wearing thin.
As silly as it might seem, I’m getting keen on running around the hill country in a Chrysler. Sorry, I couldn’t help it.
I’m not sure it is worth describing the details of what we’ve done in the last couple weeks, but new things built, and a few rebuilds as well. Fourth iteration on the flow meter in/out tubes, third on the wastegate, second on the muffler………… but, it is beginning to look really cool.
In about 10 days we should have a fully assembled set of pics for you.
Maybe another 2 weeks or 2 weeks

Well another week has come and gone with no pictures or updates. I see John's request for information on Facebook has gone ignored.
Hard to believe a company like this is still in business. How they got a book written on Turboing it's beyond me.
