I agree, I REALLY wish DJ would spill the beans, but after everything with CF1 went down, it is like he disappeared...

I know he's still breathing, about a month ago I answered a question on the forum for a lady in his hometown and she said she worked at the same place he does. She 'said' she would speak to him and get him to post, but it never happened ......

Now that is a bigger mystery than a completion date on this project by far!

Anybody got a vin on CF1?... Almost wonder if a car fax wouldn't have a surprise showing..

Just for the hell of it I posted on their Facebook page asking for an update. If nothing else it might seem like there's a few more folks interested....

Well I bought a house in the meantime so chances of getting a turbo any time soon is doubtful anyway

Right now it's a race between sk8r and BEGI (if they produce a quality kit if/when all is said and done)

If josh is able to get the V8 working with the stick before BEGI figures the turbo out that will be it for me. It will make more sense for me to collect everything at my own pace and find the right deals to make the V8 happen rather than taking the big hit up front for the turbo now that I have a busted *** house to dump money into.

FIFY

I hope BEGi gets somewhere. At least all of it together with a quality finish. That way I can have a turbo'd V8 .

Congrats on the house, mines a piece of crap too but at least it gives me something to do when the car's pissing me off lol. A house is a house, and you're not paying rent .

thanks. I have no doubt you will be done before they are. I honestly do hope they create a great product at the end of the day for multiple reasons but after all this it's just hard to imagine anything will come out. Turbo 8 would be sweet for sure, with the new magical pipe routing we have not seen yet though who knows if there will be enough room to run the same kind of kit with the 8 stuffed in there. Time will tell, im sure 2 weeks to be exact

Keep up the good work. I need to start thinking about building a garage before I even think about more crossfire fun they had to bulldoze the POS existing one down before I bought the place.

As long as it's a quality turbo with everything needed to function, I'll route my own damn pipe lol. The talks in the beginning stages were the way to go. If it doesn't turn out that great maybe it could just be modified for the picky? We'll see in 2 weeks I guess.

Building a house from the ground up!? Nice .

I gave you guys advice months ago.!!!!! Due to legal reasons I did not put everything and cannot go into detail. But I had money down, and I got it back....

1. Contact Federal Trade Commission

2. Contact the States Office of the attorney Generals Office. Consumer Fraud Division

You can call or file online. I filed online and had my $ back in less than 2 weeks with a email that bitched e out. But when your hand is forced, gotta do what you gotta do.

I had to do this with a rim company before.....And I won then too.

I am giving Casey another week to here from him on my brakes, or he will learn a tough lesson as well....

You give what you get...... Get your money back or ask for parts they sell that you can use!!

my 2 cents.... Goodluck.

Not only will Josh finish first, he will be faster in every race from that point on.

I am a little ahead of you Bought my place about 4 years ago, built in 1947 so a tiny little 1 car garage, we hacked the side of it off, rebuilt pretty much the whole thing, poured new concrete, and now I have a 2.5. Now I wish I had at least a 3.5, if you have the room, do the biggest one you can

Best of luck, you too Josh, it is fun, and exhausting to get a new house in order. I am just finishing my basement finishing project, and am very excited about that. Always something to do.

Lol especially if I turbo that sucker. At least I could compete with modded SRT's at that point. No replacement for displacement. It's hard to say what's going to happen later though, maybe in a year or two I find the 6.2L V8 for a steal or the 55K motor.

There is always something to do, that's for sure. Never ending pain and suffering lol. I don't mind working on the house but when it comes to replacing something then finding out something else is broken and something else and on and on, I get crazy overwhelmed. lol. No major problems with my house other than being small, but the little things are going to be the death of me lol. So, how are prices in IN for homes? lol And how is the state doing job wise?

Lmao, agreed.

Ok, so back on topic. I looked at the pics again, and I really don't like the charge pipe. We would lose a lot of ground clearance. Whatever happened to the oval or rectangular to cut height?

Who the **** knows, he says he has changed it so we don't loose any ground clearance, but I don't see how. I also brought up this concern about 2 years ago when we began this adventure. I am lowered = need all the clearance I can get...

If this thing ever get's done, we will need a throrough walk around with measuring tape. I don't know if I trust that pipe, and it makes you wonder how low the turbo really is...

Looks like the close of another business week, and we haven't heard any B.S. from Begi.
Here is a "cut and Paste" from last year at this time where they were talking powder coating and the pipe height. Not much change in a year, same song:

Sorry about the pics. I’m doing my best to avoid you.
Not quite so, just haven’t stopped to take pictures.

Although I seem to have accomplished much in the last several weeks, I have felt lousy for a variety of reasons. Carpel tunnel has hit me a bit hard on both hands and I hope to finish all the piece making before the doc gets to me.
Has the CrossFire group ever mentioned problems with ground clearance? We are adding one inch to the bottom over about 70% of the wheel base. The low spot is about 1.4 down but is between the front wheels. This latter piece at least goes up when the front wheels do. That makes it less of a problem, except for debris on the road.
Just before we yank all things back apart, I’ll take a bunch of picture. We’ll take more with the pieces back from powder coat. I am generally reluctant to take too many pictures of uncoated tubes as they are a bit unsightly, but keep that in mind when first looking at them.

Regards to all,

Corky
Same song different year..the saga continues

For those who have lowered their Crossfires. The Crossfire that BEGI is using to design and build the Turbo is not lowered.
