If the receivers go in Tighed will have to show up and claim ownership of the car before he can get his hands on it. The car may be sitting on the lot in the sun like others were reported to be. After all this time damage to the car can be expected. If Tighed misses any notices of bankruptcy the car will be deemed abandoned and sold as assets to pay of secured creditors, I am sure US and Canadian laws are similar in many respects.

It's a long way to pick up a non drivable car and have it transported back to Arizona from Texas.
Just a thought, but couldn't tighed1 send a voluntary forum member in San Antonio a 'power of attorney' letter that would allow them to pick up the car for him before the foreclosure jackals devoured it ?
He could then arrange transport or repairs to make it driveable at a later date.
Just saying ......

I really don't know if Begi' s financial situation is indeed true or something that surfaces when a client wants a refund. Like some of us.
I don't know if Tighed1 has been in contact or how they are progressing, he has not reported anything on the forum. If he picks up his car before it is finished it would follow the pattern of what Begi has done to others. Sending them away with Turbo in trunk and no refund. If Begi's finances are sound, then I would leave the vehicle for them to complete the job as promised and have been paid for.
And what about those upcoming picture after Thanksgiving, another carrot in front of a hungry horse is all that was.
Damn it feels good to get back on my soapbox.

At this point.. Let me ship you a frame for that made out of 12x12 ceiling beams..

Finding out this scenario played out on the Miata forum was a real eye-opener..

With the leaps and bounds being made in the V8 swap path, a turbo, especially from these clowns, isn't as attractive of an option anymore.
I would bail on them in a heartbeat if I had been on the initial buyin.

Yea starting to wonder how hard it's gonna be to get that 300 back at this point. Got everything but the bigger MAF housing for the 74mm TB and V8 airbox swap. That 300 could go towards a tune to finish up the standard NA upgrade path for me.

I also did the V8 air-box swap because I liked the look of it better than the cold air intake. I put K & N filters and removed all the ribs from inside for better airflow. Made a hell of a difference. I have Aluminum tubes to feed it, looks good but I don't like them. Enjoy your mods.

At this point I wouldn't have a clue. Have to wonder what's up with Tighed1 and no comments whatsoever.. Gag order? LOL

I hope the Alaska 49er's win this year. Off to a friends to watch the game.

I don't, just want to look at your set up to see if that is something I want to do.

O.K Bill just give me a couple days and I will see if I can get some photos together so you can see what it will look like. I think that is what you would like to know.

OK Bill , pictures of the air-box are up in my photo gallery. You can see where I removed the ribs and the difference between the air filter size. The small stock one and the large V8 one. I hope this is the information you were looking for. Anything else ,just ask.

Check this thread for all the info you will need.

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ttle-body.html

I picked up most of my stuff on the bay. If you take your time you can find some good deals and everything you need

Prices to look for:
< 80$ for the nose piece
< 80-100$ for the box (make sure to get the right part#) I took a chance on a box that had the v6 nose piece on it already and it was the wrong one so basically I over paid for the nose.
I paid 37 each for the tubes new at a MB dealer.
Throttle body is a separate mod.

Had mine apart last night for cleaning, K&N install and some mods. I did not remove the ribs like bjames, they extent into the middle of the box and kind of guide the air to the hole in the back. You can separate the entire thing and get rid of the ribs throughout though if you really wanted. Figured they are not going to make or break the mod so just left em.

So.... Bill, I was thinking, if you didn't want to go with a V8 air-box like mine, you could always modify your stock air-box by removing the ribs and putting in K&N filters. I don't think it would be as good as the V8 but it would make a difference, power and sound. Did it to mine before I went the other route.

I have K&N all I need to do is remove the ribs. If I don't see a difference then I'll go with the V8 box.

Heading down this road myself... Have the K&N 's.. need to de-rib the air box.. also have some HAI tubes-filter coming in. Having Torque Pro I can see what difference there is in my 0-60 and intake temps each step. If none.. hey she'll sound just a little better under the hood anyways..thinking about fabbing up some intake horns to direct cooler air to the filters.. Just some play time.

The intake temp on that app is probably relatively reliable for comparison purposes but I wouldn't trust the consistency of the 0-60 times...

Unless I'm just amazing at driving and these are real numbers for a stock NA 6spd:

Yeah I've noticed my runs vary quite a bit.. checking the logs even my 0-60 shows 63 mph, just looking at it as an average thing. Plus being able to watch my max CFM will be intersting for comparisons. One step above Buttdyno .. LOL
