BEGi Turbo Kit information/discussion thread
I understand where all you guys are coming from. No one likes to admit to biting off more than you can chew. Especially on a fixed budget. I think you just have to ride this one out. But if there are fast turbo'd n/a's out there, that are running SRT 6 times. I haven't met them yet.

Budget wise.. okay.. guess "our" funds got mis appropriated.. what else is new huh.
CF1 was paid in full with other deposits equalling at least $1,800
And I don't think anyone went into this expecting to run "SRT6" times.
Just looking to put a kick in them to at least be recongized by sixes.. LOL.
Unfortunately consumer coinfidence went for a ***** on this project long ago. You could expect as a project like this nears its completion that many more buyers that have been sitting in the wings but have not put down a deposit would then pony up and jump in at the last minute. It appears that this wiill not be the case here, no confidence, no additional money (deposits), hurts everyone involved.
All due to lack of communication on the part of the vendor.
I'm sure the constant scrutiny here on the forum did not help either.

I been watching this for a long time , i'm sorry this did not work out for everyone , but corky could put all to rest buy coming out and saying could or could not be done early , even if it would happen your only looking at 30 to 40 more hp you get that with tune and cai or close to it , i think time to put this to rest .
At 7 psi I think we were looking for close to double of what you posted..
" With a turbocharger or supercharger, it’s a different story. The induction system creates boost pressure to force more air into the engine. Turbocharging is one of the most effective ways to bolt on horsepower. You can bolt a turbo onto a relatively stock engine and produce as much power as you want by simple turning up the boost pressure. For every pound of boost pressure, a turbo can add up to 35 or more horsepower depending on engine displacement. "

Just the slightest mention of Horsepower and only 2 weeks to go , I thought I would resurrect the Horsepower betting pool. Anybody want to change their bets or get in on the action ? ..let's do it :
We have a betting pool on how many Horsepower the CF 1 will produce to the back wheels. in order to have bragging rights you have to be on the list before it's Dyno'ed
Don't come around with a 2# brain pushing a 6# mouth telling us what you knew and how many builds you have been in..blah blah blah, if you don't have your bet in. Until then it's a free- for- all
Changed my bet to the same as onehundred80
Me 165 or 170 or 175 or 180 or maybe 182 or maybe, Where were we, I forgot what I was doing humm?????

In another post I said the following.
If and when these kits get installed I'm expecting a new set of threads on how to rebuild blown engines etc.
'How to install new pistons' etc.
'What is this part? I found it sticking out the crankcase.'
'Should I weld the crankcase or can I use crazy glue?'
'The repair costs more than the car's worth, is it worth repairing?'
'For Sale 2005 na with catastrophic engine damage.'
'New Turbo Charged stickers, free postage in the US , $5 to Canada'
'Lost on I-75, three con rods, three pistons and 8 qts of 10w 40.'
'Wanted cheap used Turbo kit, I want to make a gas turbine engine from it, contact me by PM, Turbomar.'
I'm just joking, but I am expecting new and interesting topics on repairs and maintenance of these beasts.
Ya,Ya I'm still here..I told you this two weeks would fly by. I think, I'm not a 100% sure, but its been 5 months since they updated the progress with photos and photos tell the truth, but they don't.
Maybe just maybe another two weeks.
Maybe just maybe another two weeks.
Just one more example of why I could have no longer taken my car to them as CF2 .. Even if it was now offered free for CF2 they would have to find another taker. My car is REAL HAPPY being an Oklahoma resident.. LOL.
Somebody with an 04 model.. please show up for this!
I'd kick in 30 bucks if you take pictures!
EDIT: Thats for Corky to dyno your car.. LOL

The price is $60 for 3 dyno runs. Each run will receive a print out of horsepower, torque, air fuel ratio, and boost (if applicable). The fun starts at 9:00 am and goes until the last car has been run. Cars go in a first come, first run basis. While we expect mostly Miatas, all makes and models are welcome to join us. The DynoJet Chassis Dyno is capable of 200mph and 2000hp. And the ramps are nice and long for those cars will low ground clearance.
