I just recieved the megan m-rs muffler in the mail and went down to the local meineke shop to have it installed. They quoted me for over $270 to have it put on. That seems really high to me and i was wondering what other members have paid to have theirs installed. Thank you.

 

Yikes! I hope it's not gonna be that expensive. I'd like to put those on my car some day.

 

Yea I'm going to take to a few other shops to see what they say and hope for a lot lower price than that.

 

I went to a mom and pop place to get a quote for a rear cat delete and they only wanted $100. swapping out the muffler doesn't seem like it would take as long.

 

Yeah find a different shop for sure. I got a flowmaster muffler back to tailpipes WITH SS tips custom made for my 02 camaro for only 125 total including tax. This guy you quoted wants to make a partial car payment above the cost of his labor thats for sure.

 

My megan racing muffler was about that price after tax ( I think 250). The shop was respectable, I could have gone somewhere else probably for cheaper but I wanted the quality work. They also said because of the hangers it was going to cost more. They needed to find material and precisely measure to have it hang how I wanted. The megan muffler has no hangers and is a center intlet vs the offset from stock.
