Default Leakey coolant reservoir!!

So a few days ago I pulled out the coolant reservoir to put in my new HID's. Everything was great until yesterday, I get the low coolant symbol pop up on my dash. I get home and am shocked to see the entire contents of the coolant reservoir had completely spilled out. I filled it back up and couldn't find a leak but then I turned the car on and I observed a steady drip from around the coolant level sensor. That sensor was a pain to get out to move the tank to get to the headlights and I haven't had the time to pull the tank out to get a good look at it but could the tank have cracked near the sensor when I was pulling it out? Where can I get a new tank and how much does it cost?

Wash with acetone and then glue with RTV by GE, let it sit 24, and then smile. Woody

Woody,

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I also have a leak in the reservoir. It seems to come from a little higher, in the junction of the top(black) and bottom (clear white) parts of the reservoir. I think it spills when breaking hard. You think your solution can also be applied here? Thank you.

RTV on clean surface will stick like stink on congress. Has to be acetone or clean lacquer thinner, and then add it. Not going to hold pressure but will hold water, used in aquarimums several feet deep, enjoy. wOODY

So his radiator will not have any pressure?
To be waterproof things are generally pressure tight to some extent.
