Clicked on it for grins.. as I have already read this.. you get a free PDF file with this one.
When you click on Here for this link, it takes you back to this very page. (frustrating)

I am going to let this topic go for now. I will experiment myself with the parts and write a definitive report on what fits and what does not. When I am through, there will be links to parts that I have personally fit in the engine bay.

Let's focus on the tune and logs for now. Just got the latest firmware from Eurocharged. Is there any way to plug up and tell that you have the latest firmware loaded and running properly? I noticed there was a version # when you connect. Are these #s the same for every car with the TB upgrade in place?

Guess you need to check browser settings or whatever.. at work.. and now at home it has popped up an option to save the PDF file. Can't fix that for you..

The is a difference between parts that start with 112 and 113, they are two different car models.
They may end with the same numbers but they each fit different cars.
If they were the same part then according to the Mercedes numbering system they would have the same part number and not start with a different three figures.
Go ahead and spend your time and money on getting the numbers correct, but as in many things it has been done before here.

I stand by my numbers, they fit and do not rub.

Those part numbers are not correct. The cover itself is too thick and rubs.

Does this look familiar?

Parts to do this modification are:

Mercedes engine cover #A 112 090 11 01

The front part of this two piece cover is part #A112 010 04 67

Intake tubes, P/side #A112 094 35 82, D/side #A112 094 34 82. Best fit is two of the #A112 094 34 82 with the home made spacers shown below.

Filters, K&N's #33-2181, OEM (paper) A 112 094 00 04
See this ad for two sets of filters for this mod.

74 mm Throttle Body, Mercedes #A113 141 01 25

Throttle body O-ring Chrysler#05102933AA, Mercedes #305 997 03 45.

The larger (74mm) MAF, Mercedes #A 113 094 00 48. Using the original OEM MAF sensor.

Donut seal for engine cover to MAF unit, Mercedes #112 094 01 80 (If original is damaged)

Last but not least a Eurocharged tune.

I'm thinking I'm using the #'s you posted. Sorry if they were wrong.

Use my numbers, I got two other covers, both wrong and I ended up taking them to the dump.

Wow, you got pretty damn defensive. Sorry I didn't "HELP" to the extent you were looking for. Forgot that I have to "show my work in school". If you noticed, the filter housing on that V6 cover is bigger than the crossfire's. Scale measurements make it seem that the filter housings are as big as the V8 boxes. Since I have the original motor in the garage, I'll fit just the V8 box and see for sure.

I am not sure who you are talking to. Me? If so read on.
The main filter housing is the same size for the six and the eight. The difference is in the thickness, some 3/8" to 1/2" more in the one that will interfere with the hood liner quite hard on the Crossfire.
The nose piece on the V8 is too long as it is one cylinder longer, as evidenced by that section added which matches each of the three sections on the main cover. The V6 version lacks that extension and clips on to the existing pin on the Crossfire engine, the same pin used by the OEM engine cover. Also the oil filler hole in the V8 version does not match up to the V6.

I had a lot of frustration when doing this mod, sellers substituted parts because they thought that as the parts looked alike they were the same and shipped another part number instead of what I ordered. One supplier sent the correct parts and told me to keep what they had sent in error. I took that set and another main cover someone sent in error to the dump. What a waste, one set was brand new looking, but I could not give it away on eBay.

I was talking about the OP 180 lol. Although the crossfire filters are tiny compared to the V8's.

The filter housing that is used in this mod uses the larger V8 filters. That is the reason it is done, they have about 50% greater area than the OEM filters.

Car was feeling slow for a bit. I took the time to reflash and it seems that the initial flash of new firmware from Eurocharged didn't take. After loading it again, I noticed an instant jump in power. Car has been getting faster over the last 200 miles. Bumped the Sprint Booster into green mode and now the car is lightning fast, without being to jumpy.

Love the way it accelerates now! Was damn strong without the Sprint Booster. Not sure it's worth the $299 they charge for it. Good news is that you can flash your throttle and remove the SB and send it on down the line. I'm keeping mine so that I can adjust it anytime I want but if you get it set the way you like it, you can pack it up and sell it!

Mr Miatta thanks for the link. Wondering how hard the install was and if you need a different cover of if the stock still fits. Please let me know and thanks!

The "hardest" part is you have to really push the drivers side filter high up on the tube to clear components when sitting in position. Same stock cover.. take the OEM style filters out and seal those boxes up.. silicon.. foam seal.. whatever you feel best with. I had actually bought an intake for a Honda accord (x2) and cut the tube about 6" shorter to make mine before these popped up. I had purchased some used Needswings dual K&N filters from a user that aren't as big as these and fit easier. This came up on Ebay and I made the purchase for my wife's car. (They jacked the prices up on the Honda setup..lol)

Greg: I have that same problem...the drivers side filter/tube (once installed) angles to the right. Is there a solution for straightness around instead of smaller diameter filters?? Carl

I'm afraid that's all the room there is.. Slightly angled and pushed up high on the tube, or smaller diameter filters. If you look closely at the ebay pic.. that is the same way they show it. I can live with it myself.

If you jam that filter into the headlight adjustment, it will disfigure the bottom of that filter but the tub sits almost straight. I was going to replace the filters with rubber ended filters that won't rattle against the headlight adjustment. Until I spring for a needswings. I changed out the couplers for stacked couplers from spectra. They seem to fit much better.
