Used the Search function to locate the "correct" part number for subject part. Part number 05096759AA is listed in multiple posts as the correct part number for the "Engine Splash Shield". Checked it out in the 2006 Parts Manual and it crosses to Body Sheet Metal Except Doors > Splash Shields & Weatherstrips > Figure SZH 1010 > Splash Shields, Item 11. Inputting the entire number or striking the leading zero returns the following on EVERY online Chrysler OEM parts site > Body Hardware/Hood/Hood & Components/Silencer. Naturally NONE of the sites depict that part in the associated illustration. I don't need the hood soundproofing (I've already replaced it), I need the the shield under the engine. Has anyone actually ordered using this part number online and received the correct part ??

 

I recommend you go to car-part.com and look up any common part for the Crossfire.
Find a yard near you and call and see if they have one.

It's a hunk of plastic that no one sees.
Why pay $173 + shipping when you can find one at a local yard for maybe $30 or so ?
( and I'll bet you when you do order it, they'll tell you either it is on backorder, or no longer stocked )

Link provided by Dave Mopar Parts Overstock.com did NOT have the Engine Shield, Lower in stock. However they DID HAVE 4 OF THEM ACROSS TOWN IN THE WAREHOUSE !!!!!
