Air sucking/hissing sound coming from engine
Hey guys,
Recently I've noticed a hissing/air sucking sound coming from the driver side of my engine (2005 na Crossfire Coupe). You can only hear it with the hood up and getting close to the engine. It occurrs intermittently and some what random but does not go away. Car runs great besides that sound. No codes. I do have a catch can but it does not appear to be coming from it or my CAI and I've had them before and no noise.
Any help?
Thanks!

You can find it the old fashioned way, if you're patient. Get a long piece of rubber vacuum line, hold one end in your ear and wave the other end over the area where the noise is. Keep moving closer to the noise and you'll pin point it fast. That's the poor man's stethoscope. Works good done it many times.
You have to when your other vehicle has 220,000 mi on it.

I mistakenly used tubing on my catchcan that is vacuum rated.
@ 70 degrees F.
when the tube collapsed, it made a sucking sound as you describe.
Or one or more of the PCV tubes has cracked, but this would affect the idle.
