Default fuel bomb

Hey guys ..
hope this finds u all well

My 04 crossfire has a problem that when i turn the switch it gives the sound sound of ignition but it doesn't reach the final point!
I toke it to a mechanic who worked in Mercedes for several years. He knocked the fuel bomb several times and it worked!
However, he said that i need to replace the whole fuel bomb with a new one that costs 668$ + labor

Any suggestions? Any thoughts?

I hope to hear from u guys soon because i told him that i will call tomorrow to wither let him order the parts or no because they take at least a week to be deliverd.

Best regards ..

Jeez Greg, at least tell him he is looking for a FUEL PUMP, not a fuel bomb.
I don't think Rob at NW keeps many of those in stock.

This is all i found related to fuel in the website u suggested
http://needswings.com/Products.aspx?id=332D6AA8-CE8D-4BD9-93A3-A77DE5E8AAFF&sn=5C5D2516-8B9C-42DD-A024-177FFD8F2831

Unfortunately, i don't have that much knowledge in parts
i will show this page to the mechanic and c if the part we r looking for is there

Anyway, i'm still looking forward to read more from u guys and mabe someone had such a problem and can share his experience with me to know if i should order a new one or just do somthing on the current one to fix it.

Thank u guys and waiting to read more of ur helpful comments

Glad you have humor! You will need it here with us. LOL. I have only done the fuel filter which is right by the pump. Takes a little time but wasn't too difficult. The pump should be about the same.

You are supposed to be rich beyond imagination from oil revenues and driving a Rolls Royce.
What are you doing in a lowly Crossfire ?

( joking )

As much as i hope that it's true, it's not.
oil money is for governores and their relatives. Normal people have to fight even for their right to b citizens.

Sorry, i just got carried away ..

The filter was about 35 dollars

Yes I did this myself

My biggest issue was the original "band" type clamps - which I replaced with the worm gear types.

Be careful of the brand you may get.

Bosch - Mann - parts sold on Needswings - all are what our cars demand ! They are very picky on the quality of the parts.

Do not use "typical" part store items.

I just replaced the fuel filter on my limited and re-used the original clamps. They are easily undone with a flat bladed screw driver and snapped closed again with tile nippers.

55 fuel pump

Is the fuel pump that needwings is advertising now. It is a high flow model from a 55k The price is good and i am sure it bolts on ( the guys @ Needwings would know for sure ) but it might be more than you really need. AuothausAZ has this one for less than 200

Bosch 0986580372 Fuel Pump, Electric
